Flying
If you love flying, it feels like your holiday begins as soon as you get to the airport. However, if the idea of a flight is a scary prospect, we have some tips to help settle your nerves and make you feel better about the experience. Who knows, you could really enjoy it! The key thing to remember for a stress-free time at the airport is to arrive in plenty of time so that you don't need to rush or miss out on the duty-free shopping. We also have some advice on flying with children and information that will be useful if you require special assistance to help you onto the aircraft or around the airport.
FlyingTravelling Eurostar
If you are travelling to France or Belgium the Eurostar could be the most convenient (and perhaps
even the quickest) option. Even if you are going further within Europe, the good connections
from Paris and Brussels to the European international train network
mean that you can easily reach your destination without having to worry about tight
restrictions on baggage allowances.
The Eurostar departs from the impressive new terminal at St Pancras International station,
stopping at Ebbsfleet 10 minutes later to pick up more passengers. From there on the trip is
smooth and fast, with average journey times reduced by up to 20 minutes. You can still also
catch the Eurostar from Ashford International - the overnight service down to the French Alps is particularly populars with skiers.
Transfers
When you land at your destination airport the last thing that you need to worry about is how
you are going to get to your resort accommodation. This is why Thomas Cook package holidays
include transfers* to and from your resort (*transfers are optional for late holiday deals),
Whether this means that you will be transferred by coach or by taxi we will do our very best to
ensure that you get to your resort as quickly and safely as possible.
Certain properties also include the option to pre-book a private taxi transfer for an
additional charge, so that you can go straight to your accommodation in privacy and start
making the most of your time in resort.
