THOMAS COOK TIES UP WITH WAYN.COM TO REACH MILLIONS OF ONLINE TRAVELLERS
Thomas Cook UK & Ireland today announced a partnership deal with fast-growing travel and social website, WAYN.com (Where Are You Now?). A social site where travellers can interact, upload their photographs and share experiences, WAYN currently has 1.6 million UK users and is rapidly expanding with approximately 300,000 new users every month.
Under the partnership, Thomas Cook is the sole sponsor of WAYN's travel section, within the WAYN Club area of the site. The section features a number of travel deals exclusive to Thomas Cook, which have been chosen to appeal specifically to WAYN members. When clicked, these link through to a special section on thomascook.com specifically tailored for WAYN members. Typical offers for the travel page are city breaks, flight-only deals and holidays to Goa, Cuba and the Dominican Republic.
Thomas Cook is also offering competition prizes through some of its sub-brands to encourage new members to the site. These include a Club 18-30 holiday for two, and a three-night trip to Las Vegas with Flexible Trips. These prizes form part of a TV advertising campaign to be screened in late March. Thomas Cook will also benefit from display ads across the WAYN site.
